ImageImagine Morzine’s delight when 30 plus slightly inebriated buffoons disembarked of the sunshine bus for 4 days of carnage and ruin. The stag do had began, full steam ahead early on the morning of departure. The hotel managers joy of such a large party booking soon changed to dread when we all stumbled, fell and slide of the bus and proceeded to check into the hotel, as much as his grimace tried to hide his pleasure he knew he was in for a busy few days keeping us all both entertained and in check.

Generally Morzine is low-keyed and relaxed, not the jet set town that the likes of Val's D sere and Chamonix but during the next 4 days we had no problems in finding watering holes to entertain our large and jovial group of thirsty party goers. Dixie's, Buddha and Paradis all worth checking out.

In general there were no real objections to our typical stag do antics of dressing the groom in ridiculous and embarrassing garments, drinking games, decibel levels rising by each sunken beer, in fact our stag parading round the streets in arse less leather chaps, string vest and fur cowboy hat raised eyebrows but in general got positive reactions and set the tone for jolly japes in most of the bars.

The accommodation was reasonably priced, like most places you get what you pay for, we went cheap and got what we needed for our stay, a place to stay that was clean, in town and not to far from the ski lifts and bars.

As far as the skiing went you will find that Morzine is a great resort for all abilities with endless runs linked to all of Portes De Soeil. Morzine’s skiing is basically in two similar sized sectors which together offer almost 300km of trails served by nearly 100 lifts.

The restaurants on the piste are good and varied to cater for all tastes and pockets and again we ventured on the obligatory afternoon drinking game (for drinking game read stitch up the stag) with no real dramas.

In all the trip was a great stag do, as previously mentioned Morzine isn't’t the liveliest of venues for such a trip, that said we had a great time there and didn't seem to offend to many people or end up in the nick, good skiing, reasonable prices across the board and a fairly decent night life.
